Dubai Virtual Commercial License Is Now Accessible To Entrepreneurs And Freelancers

If you are a freelancer or entrepreneur and you want to work with a company in Dubai, you can now get this type of access through a Virtual Commercial License. This type of license replaces the need to gain a residency visa. Once you have a Virtual License you can continue to perform business transactions, provide your services and even run a self-independent business in Dubai. The Virtual Commercial License is a new regulation that was recently announced by the Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

With this new launch, however, individuals will fall into two groups. These groups are divided according to countries. Certain countries can access this Virtual License, while others are not able to receive it. A recent report revealed that 100 countries currently can participate in this Virtual License scheme.

Eligible List of Countries

Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Morocco, Pakistan, India and Tunisia, China and Russia, Europe, Canada and the United States

Ineligible List of Countries

Oman, Jordan, Egypt and Iran to name a few

It is an exciting launch that will allow entrepreneurs and freelancers to log into the eCommerce site and provide you with the opportunity to work for Dubai companies. This doesn’t just include freelancers, but also business people who run companies of their own but prefer to operate them virtually. There are three sectors under this initiative that can be a part of this new regulation.

First Sector

The first sector is Computer Programming and Consultancy which offers a Virtual License to under several categories which include programming, web design, social media, networking systems and computer systems.

Second Sector

The second sector falls under design and the categories included in this section are interior design, exterior design, fashion design and jewelry design.

Third Sector

The third sector to come under this eligible list of employment is advertising and printing services. Some of the categories that are accepted in this sector include book binding, typesetting, greeting cards distribution, and design and artwork.

Dubai Virtual Commercial License for freelancers

Many entrepreneurs and freelancers are curious about the status of acquiring a residency visa in Dubai, while participating in this new scheme. A Virtual License does not automatically guarantee a path to the residency to Dubai. However, there is good news in all of this for this group of individuals. The Dubai Government is diligently working on this very request and hopes to simplify the visa process for holders of the Virtual License.
